The Shadow of Ideas explores the world of current events, social justice, and politics through the lens of history. It’s a podcast about context, and about how concepts from the past form the narratives that we use to understand the present and the future.
“Misunderstanding of the present is the inevitable consequence of ignorance of the past. But a man may wear himself out just as fruitlessly in seeking to understand the past, if he is totally ignorant of the present.” -Marc Bloch
